Welcome to the CirclePoint Bullying Prevention Program

CirclePoint™ is a new kind of program that enables all members of a school community—administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and students at all grade levels—to make a positive difference in preventing, reducing, and resolving bullying problems. Each community group member is educated on bullying and provided with role-appropriate actions, strategies, and/or processes that work at both the individual and peer group levels. These mechanisms overlap, complement, and reinforce one another, providing effectiveness regardless of the rate and degree of individual community member adoption and application. Most importantly, the mechanisms in this program—which include target and bystander empowerment techniques, a robust Target Support System, a Constructive Discipline Process, classroom strategies for teachers, and proactive and reactive actions by parents—are based on modern research and were developed in conjunction with a team of veteran educators in the Boston Public School District in Massachusetts, USA. And having been designed with the resources of American public schools in mind, CirclePoint is easy to implement—in as little time as two months—and even easier to sustain. We invite you to review our philosophy, study our program mechanisms, and explore our materials to see if CirclePoint may be a good fit for your school or organization.
